In order to protect the public and our staff, we have implemented strict new policies regarding who enters the surgery.
These procedures are effective immediately and shall be reviewed on a daily basis.
In essence, entry into the surgery shall be strictly monitored and restricted to those who are booked and need to be in the building.
The new procedures:
* nobody enters without a prior appointment
* walk in patients are not permitted
* patients must make appointments by telephone, not in person
* as much as possible, patients shall be rung by a doctor the day before the appointment to see whether the matter can be dealt with by telephone rather than in person
* all pathology is now by appointment only
* DO NOT come to appointments too early as you will be made to wait outside
* only 1 patient per doctor shall be allowed in waiting room at one time - seats shall be spaced apart and other patients made to wait outside
* patients who can come alone should come alone (children and elderly who need help can of course bring help)
* patients who have travelled overseas in the last 14 days shall only be treated on the phone in the first instance
* patients with fevers, coughs or runny noses shall be given a mask
* routine scripts and repeats shall be dealt with over the phone or by email as much as possible and we shall deliver to the pharmacies within 1 business day
We apologise for the inconvenience however this is a very important time and we need to do all that is possible to contain spread of the novel coronavirus.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Aniello Iannuzzi
