Thankfully the Covid-19 outbreak in Coonabarabran appears to be under control, with positive test results down to low levels.

Accordingly, Warrumbungle Medical Centre is once again open for face-to-face consultations from Friday 3 December 2021.

We understand that for a few days there may be some confusion as to whether appointments are in person or by telephone; if patients do not attend in person, doctors will ring the patient instead.

For the remainder of December, we will accept patient requests for telephone appointments, as we understand many patients are still on isolation orders or want to exercise caution.

Patients are encouraged to ring ahead in order to inform us whether they want to attend in person or keep a phone appointment.

We also request:

  • patients wear masks when in the surgery

  • only the patient seeing the doctor enters the building - only children may be accompanied by one parent

  • QR code check-in and check-out with Service NSW app

  • if patients are having a procedure or have respiratory symptoms, a negative PCR swab within 48hr is encouraged before attending

Please note that we are an essential service, so we do not discriminate on vaccination status.
