All mental health care plan requests will now incur a private fee, regardless of age or health care card status.

Please note that we do not currently have any resident psychological services in town, so such plans will involve travel or online services for patients.

Mental Health Care Plans require a separate visit and cannot be done in conjunction with other medical matters, in order to comply with Medicare regulations.

You will only get a Medicare rebate for your mental health care plan if you have not had such a plan done anywhere else in Australia within the previous 12 months. If patients have had plans done within the 12 months, they will find that their Medicare rebates for the GP and psychologists will fail.
